I bought this from Costco and I don’t quite “get” how the best way to use it is. Do most people leave the faucet “on” at all times and then wave their hands in front when they want to use it?...

Yes, that's the point of the motion activated feature, is that you don't need to touch the faucet to turn it on/off. So just leave it on at all times, and wave your hand in front of the sensor to...

I just installed mine this past weekend so far we love it. Take a little getting use to as we are still moving the handle a lot so it's creating more confusion but I am sure we'll get past that soon.

That is very much the case with all faucets with that big handle. You need room behind so you can move the handle all the right to the hot side. My sink doens't have that kind of space to the wall,...

This is correct. The handle part is rather long and will hit the back wall (behind the sink) if you attempt to leave it in the "on" & "hot" position. That is the furthest position to the rear of...

You can use this one either way. If you don't want motion feature, either remove the battery or cover the sensor. Then handle works like a normal faucet.
