If you're not in a rush I got my Fire 7 (9th Gen) from an Amazon Deal of the Day for about $25 Prime shipped back in July. Loaded up the play store & been a solid media consumption device since then.

if it was running pure android on it that might be the case, but because of amazon most apps will not work before you know it. it's essentially a throw away pad.
