Nice. I've had mine up for a month. Sadly I put it up myself, and I gave my sister my platform to use. So I was a little unweildly on the ladder and slipped. Now I have one small ripple at the bottom...

not quite. the resolution is actually 4k it just only shows 1/4 of the pixels at a time in rapid succession, tricking your brain into seeing 4k the same way 24 images per second tricks your brain...

I'm assuming this is fake 4k, since most real 4k projectors are still around 35k. Most projectors use gimmicks to create these fake 4k since the majority of people wouldn't notice the difference...

This is what I meant, pixel shifting produces a significantly similar effect to "real" 4K. It's all preference to your individual eye.

I'd probably be doing that no matter what projector I had. Watching daytime TV shows at 120 inches is not terribly important to me. I bet Maury looks great on this projector though!

And then there are people with posts like yours who think everyone has access to see a real 4k vs a 4k shift in action.

Is this a "Real 4K" native projector or a "Fake 4K" achieved with software?

Front page, second screen says through the WOOT app and shows up in checkout if signed in with Amazon prime account.

super sharp 4k picture... that you probably couldn't differentiate from 1080p because your TV is too small unless you sit 3 feet away from it

It's not true 4k. It's pixel shifting aka 2k with fast moving mirrors to appear 4k.

It's still pixel shifting. It's sharper than 1080p by a lot, but the native chip in the projector isn't 4k. I have this projector though and it's a lot sharper than my old 1080p.

What are you using for PX727-4k ceiling mount?
Post #133391525 added 12-14-2019 7:36 AM by deshwasi in Deal Talk
727 is better pic and more suited to home theater. if you absolutely need to watch in broad daylight in uncontrolled lighting, then you might need 747. only you can figure that out.
