These are rated better than the Bowflex ones. Many have said the handle is more comfortable and the way the weight is set closer to the handle makes them better for your wrists and better for control.

Great set of dumbbells, sturdy and easy to change weights. Not great for those with large wrists/forearms. You can't drop these more than a few inches the manual that comes with them says it voids...

Small man like me blow by 50 lbs easily too but there are still a lot of exercises one can do...tricep kickbacks, bicep curls, wrist curls etc that many would not need 35lbs, let alone 50 lbs

These are great dumbbells and amazing quality. I had Bowflex and returned them. You can also expand these to 90lbs (70 lbs Stage 2 and 90 lbs Stage 3)
