Not the same guy but Zero is a prequel to the entire series and Kiwami 1 is a remake of the first Yakuza game. I played 0 first because it gives you the backstory of the main characters in Kiwami 1....

I played kiwami 1 (PS plus) before zero. I feel that I appreciated the game and character growth more this way than I would had I played zero to kiwami 1.
