I bought a 5585 earlier this year and have had nothing but problems with it randomly getting hot and locking up. It's a hardware issue but Dell won't honor the warranty on it.

Have you tried adding more ram? Ryzen 7 occupies a good amount of RAM so only ~6GB of ram are actually available for use.

notebookcheck did a websurfing benchmark for battery life.. they claim 7h of battery life. I agree that seems high, but even if its only 5 hours i will be happy at this price.

I have the i5 model and the cinema mode is GREAT! No issues with the display whatsoever. Touch screen works well, hinges are solid, and display is very good for movies, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

WVA stands for Wide Viewing Angle which is another term now Laptop manufacturers' use for IPS. Do a bit Google Search for the term you don't get.
