Got this laptop from dell.com for $480 incl. tax with an extra free mouse. The screen brightness is absolutely fine for me. Overall I'm happy with this.

the screen can't be that bad if it is an IPS panel.

Ups forn10th Gen. Would have preferred 8GB / 500GB on this as another 8GB stick to make 16 is around $30. 4GB RAM seems worthless to me.

I tried to order this laptop, but Staples wouldn't let me do either pick up in store or delivery. They say it's OOS. Poo.

For the price of $520, not that good of a deal. If you must have a touchscreen, I suppose this is one of the cheaper way to go with a 10th gen i5. However, if you can forgo the touchscreen, the...

Instead, it has usb-c supports display. This may be able to output up to 2k. However, thunderbolt is better; we can charge, connect to an external monitor, and data transfer with only one cord.

I am not too thrilled with the Costco one - on the dim side. I guess your eyes get used to it, but I'm used to brighter displays. Your other option is the Inspiron 7000 14 which is about $949.

What is your budget? I'd suggest a Dell 7000 14" about $900. Make sure you get the best warranty protection from them. They do monthly warranty now, for better or worse. If under $500, check Dell...
