It is an IPS panel. My daughter has last year's model and the screen is fine indoors. I have not looked at in in sunlight, but it would probably be difficult to see.

That's why this laptop has usb C with Displayport so you can output 4K 60hz so it has 4gb soldered and 8gb sodimm? that's not as good as 2 sodimm but better than only 1 sodimm..
