IMO pay a little more and get pressure cooker induction version, and yes these are worth the money for those that eat rice daily and like good rice

I wouldn't use the included plastic spatula, they also scratch the bowl. Instead, use a silicone spatula. Clean with a sponge or microfiber cloth. I personally prefer the bowl in the Tiger IH...

I'm Japanese so I eat a lot of rice and I'm pretty picky about the rice I eat. In my opinion, the non-induction (micom) Zojirushi models make excellent rice. I do like my induction (IH) rice cooker...

So I had been eyeing this rice cooker when it went on sale during the 2018 holidays, but just could not justify paying so much, and my current plain old Oster rice cooker still works perfectly fine....

If you eat rice everyday...this is well worth it. If you don't, then move along unless you want to have nice stuff.

We got this about 4 years ago and it’s one of the best purchases we have made. Working perfect as the day it came. Great rice cooker, we cook GABA brown rice with it pretty much everyday.

For a lot of people this is a pass, but it makes amazing rice and is much more convenient than a pressure cooker. This is one appliance I use 2-3x a week and am glad I have it every time. Perfectly...

Is the induction one worth it? Does the non induction model work good enough? It is 100 bucks more for the induction.

I have been eyeing induction heating rice cookers for a year. While it's true that this zojirushi model has been as low as $192 before, it lasted 3 hours on Amazon and has never been lower since....

This cooker is using induction heating technology (IH) thats why its more expensive than regular cookers out there. Also this is made in Japan, not China.

How does the pot inside hold up? What usually gets me on rice cookers are that the non-stick coating wears out first and there's no easy (cheap) way to replace.

for how much you use it it's not worth it. might as well get a lower priced one vs those that cook rice everyday

I love their plastic spatula. Haven’t had any experience with it scratching the bowl. It’s better than other rice spatulas since it is non stick. Rice comes right off.

These are completely worth. Zojirushi makes one of the best rice cookers. My family has had ours for 5+ years and it's still working fine. The induction heating ones are super worth.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and say that you don't necessarily need this even if your family eats a lot of rice. Now it may be that my family had an older 2009 model, but after cooking rice...
