It probably is IPS technology. LG has a trademark on "IPS", so if it's not a LG panel, they cannot call it IPS.

It depends. I've seen IPS level look equal to other IPS before. It's all in the contrast ratio, color space and viewing angle. There are also garbage IPS screens out there and putting one IPS...

Why does anyone need 300fps playing csgo. I max fps 144 and underclock my gpu and set max fan to 40%. Runs quiet never gets hot. Smooth with a constant 144fps. I'm playing on an old i7 3770 with...

Any IPS level or "type" display that isn't an IPS I've ever had sucks. I have an Asus TUF sitting next to a Lenovo flex 15 . The tuf is IPS level/type, the flex is true IPS. The flex is leaps and...

it's easy I've done it on a few xps's. for example for the ones I had you unscrew the heatsinks and then pull up and the GPU and cpu are right there. get some rubbing alcohol and a cloth and rub it...

I believe the Asus Zephy (2060rtx) is one of the few gaming laptops with ~100% sRGB. I've only seen < 90% aRGB on android devices, never a laptop. What bothers me more than anything is the lack of...

The 8750H can definitely hit lower levels. I did -170mv for the CPU, and my G7 keeps high frequencies when encoding videos. Really impressed by how quiet it remains. Best 440 I ever spent.

I'm in the same boat here. So basically the differences are 120hz screen instead of 60hz, 512GB instead of 256GB SSD, 1660 ti vs 1050 ti, smaller screen though -- are these specs worth the extra $250?
Post #133864277 added 12-29-2019 9:10 AM by FeistyOstrich2062 in Deal Talk

MSI 120hz panels are generally extremely color accurate, if this is the panel I think it is, although it's TN it's 94% NTSC. One of the best TNs(panels) on the market.

I promise there is a huge difference between a real IPS and IPS level, put them side by side.

Anyone know if this is max q or not I am hearing different things
Post #133847531 added 12-28-2019 1:58 PM by xtp in Deal Talk
The max q iteration is ~10% slower than the non-max q. Even if that IS the case, this is still a better deal than others of late.
Post #133847657 added 12-28-2019 2:05 PM by xtp in Deal Talk
Based on the msi site, I'm prettttty sure it's not-max q , because msi clearly label these things on their other models. https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GF65-Thin-9SX-GTX/Specification But heads up...
