Do what the hell you want. Don’t mount it to high where your neck hurts, make sure the heat doesn’t rise to the tv. You’ll be fine.

I think it's also better to mount it high for bedroom use. If you are laying in bed it will cause less neck strain depending on the yaw of your neck and pillow plane divergence

No that would be an articulating mount. This one tilts so if you mount it up higher than eye level, you can angle it down towards your viewing area.
