Yes, you can switch front or back view. It’s not a replacement for your rear view mirror as there’s glare to the rear camera at night and glare/reflection to the mirror on a sunny day.

I think the best ones use a namebrand sony imx335 sensor with good vision at night. Do a search on Amazon and most do not have this sensor. AliExpress has then asnkow as $75
