What is an impact wrench... Does it help screw into the wall with more force?

Break away torque is a bullshit number. Who knows why they made it 1/2".

I can vouch for the impact wrench being a dud. If it only had a 3/8 anvil then it would be fine or as least forgiven. Being 1/2 anvil means it won't be able to loosen a lot of the nuts that 1/2...

The 1/2" impact wrench is horrid! I love Makita and this is the worst tool I've ever bought. I returned it within hours of buying it. It will not remove a lug nut torqued to 80ftlbs. The 1/4 hex...

1500 in.lbs is the 1/4” impact driver, not the 1/2” impact wrench. From the HD website, 6th bullet down: “Impact wrench with Makita built BL brushless motor delivers 155 ft./lbs. of maximum...

Specs says its 1,500 in-lbs and that equals 125ft-lbs not 245ft-lbs.

Have this set, great for light miscellaneous jobs around the house (hanging shelves, putting together Ikea furniture, etc.) As mentioned before not quite strong enough for lug bolts, I usually break...

This wrench is rated at 245 ft.lbs of nut busting torque and my lug nuts were only torqued down at 80 ft.lbs. To me changing tires is a light job, not trying to open up a crank bolt here.

This is only for light job. If you want more power, pay extra to get this one Makita XWT08Z LXT

The driver is great. Purchased last year around Christmas and love it. The wrench seems underpowered. I’d pass on this despite a good price.

Bought this and returned for the 159 drill/driver/flashlight deal.

The 1/2 impact wrench is weak. Using a 5ah battery, it struggles to open up the lug nuts on my TL.

Same at Home Depot IRRC. All the reviews say the driver is good but the wrench is pointless
