I actually bought different inks from two third party sellers on Amazon and it worked just fine. Didn’t have any issues thus far.

Do not get this line of HO printers. It will go bad in no time and they'll have discontinued this brand so you won't even be able to get it replaced.

I'd advise to NEVER let it update the firmware. I did on a 7740, and it locked out almost all non-HP refills. I had a hell of a time getting it to accept one. I'll never buy another HP printer.

I had this printer and it last for less than one year with very light use. It stopped working with an error showing on the screen when printing. It was some paper jam error but no paper was jammed.

Inkjets are worthless if you don't print once a week. You brick your printer if you don't use it regularly. Hard pass on anything inkjet

It isn't.. just get a laser printer. This printer has a bad design where at the far right it has an absorbent pad once that fills up the printer is pretty much done for
