I have always had fwd until my most recent purchase of a rwd. I prefer the fwd because whenever I jockey the mower around to different positions I lift the front wheels and pivot on the rear. Nice...

No issues. If you want more traction, gently pull up on the handle to put pressure on the front wheels.... which happens naturally when going uphill.

Really nice deal OP! FWD is not as good as RWD but at that price it’s worth dealing with it. Any self propelled is way better than non.
