I agree, red yellow and blue are the safest bet for long term platform support. I think you can find the Kobalt 12v batteries on the shelf next to the Dewalt 12v batteries :)

No they don’t carry 12v kobalt any more. Can’t even get replacements from kobalt.

The only positive about dewalt is you know they will be around a lot longer than kobalt. Lowe’s has been slowly transitioning their kobalt to craftsman.

I just think if you want a guaranteed platform get Milwaukee, makita, dewalt. Not in any particular order. Rigid is plain crap. The drills shut off all the time when using them. I can’t see kobalt...
