Thanks, I'm actually just buying a new computer and want to pull everything over from the old harddrive. So the SSD in the new computer would be factory. Are you saying it's not wise to clone the...

I would highly recommend you do a fresh OS install on the sdd and then move your data and reinstall any needed programs. Yes this might be time consuming but will avoid a host of potential problems.

Alright we’ll after 4 pages of worthless arguing, are there any relevant opinions or experiences that anyone can share? I’m looking to clone my existing hard drive to a new 2.5” SSD and would love to...

I'm incredibly ignorant of that but I have heard of it as well. However the answer is no regardless. This is just another vector for data transfer. This has nothing to do with cloning software and...

I have yet to try but will try it this weekend
This doesn't have an m.2 slot to place the nvme SSD. Therefore it wouldn't change anything. This device allows you to clone 2 hard drives without the need for a computer. But, when connected to a...

Stupid newbie question. When i was looking into some nvme ssd, people spoke of inability to clone a ssd to that ssd due to difference in packet size or something like that. They said you would have...

Yeah, I probably should have gotten usb 3.1, as I plan on transferring files from one drive to another, through a windows/Linux interface.
Sarcasm. All the good features are now in the many professional versions. With the consumer version made for people that think of cell phones as complicated, and geared towards people that apparently...

Incorrect. You can reference it on whatever you like. All it refers to is data tramsfer speed. There are 8 bits to a byte. Since you ISP is selling data transfer speeds, you would want to go...
Ah, you're right. It was Win 98, not 97. I was thinking of office 97. I was just kidding about the "peak" btw. They've simply made the consumer version to be computer friendly to 90yo grandmas,...

Yes, no home user (Standard or Pro license) will be able to get extended support. This is limited to certain volume license customers and those customers will be paying $$$$$$$ to have this support.

Ahahaha. That is the best hiding your head in the sand post I've seen this year. 🤣😂. I sincerely hope you don't keep anything important on your computer and when it mysteriously comes on for no...

Win 7 was until SP1. M/S is offering an “Extended Security Updates.” package for sale for Win 7 Pro. I understand it's not really an option for most but it is available.

Not talking bad on your post but when it comes to data transfers, please make sure to have the right speed rates as this could help or deter someone on a purchase. If you are referncing speeds...

Purchased this in 2017 because it uses a ASMedia chip that supported UASP. I use it occasionally as a disk dock with no issues, never tried the cloning feature.
