There are always riots in south america thanks to Maduro and Putin sending their men to cause chaos. But if you stay within the tourist area, youll be fine. Btw, this price is pretty good.

They had an even cheaper flight to this city last year. I was tempted to go, but glad I didn't because there was all kinds of riots in Quito during the time I would have been there.
