Its possible the audio lag was the disc or the way the xbox was reading the disc? (Joker 4k from Redbox). The video was ahead of the audio.

Well as it has been mentioned here many times when you play a 4K movie with DV you do not reap the benefits. Depending on your display the upscaling on that Xbox is not as good as a stand alone...

Well it might not be a refurb issue but more a entry level issue. The one I had the least issues with within the entry level players is the Sony X800/700. It was the best with upscaling also.

because no projectors have contrast ratios high enough to properly support any type of HDR . Thats not a HDR problem.
