The serial number is on the box - first two numbers are the year of manufacture, next two numbers are the month. For example, serial number starting with 1908 is August of 2019.

Why would it dim on grey screen? Local dimming is only for making blacks deeper. That looks terrible. Turn off all picture processing and see if it stops.
