So it's draining again. I really didn't clean much out of the hose, so I'm wondering if the hose clamp was just not tight enough or if there might've been an air gap or something.

I once found a broken off steak knife tip in the impeller (drain motor) that kept it from turning. Seems like a rare case though.

These types of cleaners are usually Citric acid. You can buy it by the pound. Has all sorts of cleaning uses. And you can make fizzy bath bombs.

This deal comes up every other week on Slickdeals it seems. In previous comments someone recommended just buying powdered citric acid on Amazon and it's much cheaper with the same effect.
