I tried a s2719dgf for about a month but it just didn't cut it for me visually. It was the free sync version but essentially the same. I went with an LG 27GL83A and am much happier.

My experience with IPS is just about that, no enhancements involved. TN panels are often recommended for gaming though for the fast response times.
