That's my understanding. No actual cash is being exchanged for these particular gift cards (you're paying in points), thus typical GC rules don't apply.

In the past for me, when you use your balance, it always comes from the source that is to expire first. Each code has it's own expiration date.

As others have already pointed out, these are direct deposit and expire in 90 days, I strongly suggest you DO NOT use these for pre-orders that are more than 90 days away just in case anything goes...

Can you claim as many of these as you want? I currently have 46.350 points, which is enough at my level to get 1 $50 gift card (46k points)...but obviously redeeming 5 $10 cards at 8,000 points each...

Nah, they expire too soon once redeemed. I will just keep saving and acquiring 5000 from family accounts each month. Better to wait and apply them in bulk to get the XSX cheap!! Currently at 45k! ☺️

Workaround: on your other account you can cash them in, BUT buy what you want AS A GIFT, and redeem with your main account. This is how I got around direct deposit and having more than one account.

Also the clock for MS reward or promotion expiration seems to run at different time zone - I guess UTC instead of any of US time. So most of cases, the 90 days are actually 89 days in US.
