Battery is 7.4v, charger that comes with it is 8.4v so that overcharges by design. The better question is does the charger need lipo smarts or is built into the battery.

The zones are made of carbon fiber and the pack is a standard lipo. I've traveled with lipos for my fpv drones before and not had a single issue.

I've successfully managed to overvolt my 12v Milwaukee heated jacket to 20v and it has been running fine. It draws 20v 1.5 or 30 freaking watts.
You have to use a pd power bank and a pd converter.
