What works for me if my 4 slot nimh charger sees them as null or dead, I put them in my xstar li-ion charger for a few seconds and they’ll be good in the reg charger.

Have you tried the battery "kickstart" solution with metal paper clips? It's almost always due to voltage dropping too low, and the charger not recognizing it. You can fix it pretty easily and safely.

Not sure if I got a bad batch but I haven't had good luck with Amazon batteries... 3 of a 16 pack were either low capacity or dead (wouldn't hold a charge) after less than charge 5 cycles.
