I don't understand the max out of RAM at 16 on anything higher end. In a couple years bumping up RAM - which will be cheaper then - will extend the useful life of any machine.

A 10th gen i5 is faster than this i7 8th gen. Plus the older integrated graphics compared to the iris plus on the 10th gen. Not that good of a deal IMO. I guess you're paying for the larger SSD but...

It doesn't exist. If you want an xps for under $900 it's going to be FHD not 4k. Have 8gigs of integrated ram not 16. Have a i3/5 processor not i7.
