The sad thing was he even said at the time it would never come back due to the cost of episodes and the ratings decline. Blamed it mostly on news stories at the time.

Loved everything about the show, it being cancelled was a travesty, yes the shows special effects were expensive but they were still making money on it. They replaced it with utter trash.
