I’m pretty sure Pennzoil Platinum is still Group III. It’s the noticeably more expensive Pennzoil Ultra Platinum that is 100% synthetic. PP is still great, nonetheless

Has anybody used this or done oil sample testing to see how it compares? I normally use Mobil or Pennzoil synthetics in my vehicles. If this is comparable, then that would save some cash!

I would not use this on a bmw. Bmw oil is supposed to last 15k. Stick with oil with a bmw Ll rating. You can usually find a deal on amazon if you pay attention.

The difference between filters is not that big anymore. The only filters I stay away from are the basic orange fram and Purolator filters.
A good bang for the buck is the super tech oil filters...

I usually go to rockauto.com they have lots of filters pretty cheap and will tell you who makes them (WIX for example)
2-3 bucks each but they charge shipping so I usually see how many I can order...
