I have 3 of these and they work great. It's nice being able to pull the tv away from the wall (especially helpful when doing hookups and wiring) and we even routinely angle it left and right...

My studs are 24” apart and there is a stud in the center. I am looking for a mount with wide plates so I can install on three studs. Can anyone suggest a wall mount for 75” tv?

I got an Aeon mount which extends 29 so it can turn a 55 inch in both directions fully. However, this gets the job done at 80% off if you don't need full extension or a large screen. Good deal.

Back in the plasma days I'd agree. Newer TV's are so light that even the flimsiest of mounts are ok. Better mounts just get you more features.

No but I meant like what if there isn't a stud directly behind the TV? Studs are every 8 inches or something so if there isn't a stud perfectly behind the TV i will have to mount it askew?

Yes i have a very tight spot for my TV so I'm worried there isn't a stud perfectly behind it. Definitely don't trust drywall clips so maybe I'll have to return these.
