If you need longer usage time, 1080P is better since the 4k screen eats too much power. 4K IPS is good enough, but upgrade to OLED would only cost about $40 more.

Btw, the display out ports are wired to the Nvidia card. This makes linux a huge pain, unless you can live with no external monitors.

OLED is not great for brightness. But contrast and solid blacks is where it shines. Just like OLED TV in a heavily lit room is not ideal..
