Has anyone been able to replicate this? I’m seeing prices being double and up leaving EWR on Feb 6th and coming back from CLT on Feb 9th. Dates are within the ones noted from each airport or am I...
I can't replicate it. But I need to come back from Charlotte in April, and there are no April dates listed.
I have made this drive many times. It is about 9 hours with no traffic. No tolls if you take 77 to 81 to 78. It probably takes between 40-50 of gas depending on your car.
Nope. When they crank up the TSA shit, this statement will apply again. And cheaper by car if you have a bigger party.
If it is one person definitely fly. If it is a few people driving might be beneficial. Also having your car might be a perk.
Why are they called the New York Giants if they play in New Jersey? Get over yourself.
Definitely not faster, it's at least 9h drive vs 2h flight, and let's say 2h check-in. The price includes airport fees. Include 1 carry-on and if you have AA CC also includes one checked in luggage...
So you are declaring people living in Manhattan not a true NYer? Also you do realize that many people work in Manhattan and it's perfectly fine to head to Newark AFTER work on Friday and have a...
Why does the thread title say NY? Are there any deals to LGA or JFK?
Everyone knows where the Giants play. Most people who live in NY aren't interested in flying to NJ if they can help it. Why not just put EWR or Newark Airport in the title to those millions of...
Not exactly prime travel season, but repped for an excellent price from CLT.
Tolls to drive up to NYC are about $30 one way
Why would Trump “crank up the TSA shit”?
:crylol: no need to thumb down this deal for that reason. sheesh. you do know that in any flight search you put in NYC airport and three airport come up LGA JFK and EWR. and just so you know,...
Get TSA pre check then. Having recently done the drive from NY to Charlotte, I can attest tolls are pretty steep and the drive takes a brutal 11 hours if u manage no breaks except to fill gas. ...
So you save 10-20 dollars and add 5 hours+ to your trip, not to mention you'll be drained from the drive. Sounds like good risk-reward to me.
I'm assuming you don't own/maintain a vehicle and thus continue to spew uninformed comments in this thread. Gas is less than half of the true cost of a driving a car. Wear, tear, and depreciation, is...
You can assume that and you can assume I have 3 heads with no brain too. Uninform and misinform, you know. :peace: Do the maintenance myself to cut down cost and my appreciation for my...
Might be cheaper and faster to drive thanks to all the security checks and fees at the airport?
That's likely not including bridge and tunnel tolls to get into New York City. The cost of tolls alone may exceed the cost of the round trip flight.
Could argue if it's cheaper or not. But faster??
Time is money. Parts are money. Sounds like you have an appreciation for driving my friend. Drive on.
American Airlines via Kayak have round trip airfares travelling to and from Charlotte NC (CLT) and Newark NJ (EWR) for $60, nonstop. These are basic economy fares, a restricted-type fare. Travel...
American Airlines via Kayak offers Roundtrip Nonstop Flights to and from Charlotte NC (CLT) and Newark NJ (EWR) from $60 for travel on select dates from February-April 2020. Thanks serra Note,...
Definitely isn't and if you need to avoid traffic the tolls are ~45ish to go around DC instead of ~30ish (drove from Florida to Mass recently, tolls don't start till like Maryland or something so...
lol, have you ever actually made a drive like that? $60 is worth it just to avoid the tolls, not pay gas, not put mileage on your car and get there in 2 hours vs 12+. As someone who lived...
This argument pops up with EVERY Newark airport deal, usually consisting of people from everywhere in the world EXCEPT the NYC/NJ area, it cracks me up. Newark airport, in NJ is one of the three...
Any true NYers knows that Newark would NEVER be considered a NY airport. For a NYer it is a hassle to get to unless you live in Manhattan. Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, SI, LI - no one in those areas...
Agree. And I prefer to spend it how I want, not in the super long line for the TSA which was force upon us after 9/11 and they crank it up to 9/11 for every 9/11. If I could, I prefer flying...
Thanks so much OP! I just booked my son's flight from the University of South Carolina to Newark for spring break for $59.29!. He always flies out of Charlotte as it's cheaper than Columbia SC.
Cheaper? Faster? It's not too late to delete this post.
Great deal for those in North NJ. I think there's a Port Authority bus that takes you to this airport. Otherwise, good luck getting a ride from anyone; the tolls make this unfortunately expensive. ...
