Yeah you wouldnt want to use these as speaker cables unless it was maybe a 5 or 15 watt amp. Speaker cables are typically a much thicker guage than instrument cables, which they can only fit into...

I'm not so sure Monoprice actually honors their lifetime warranty. I filed a claim for a faulty iPhone Lightning cable on their website and nothing happened. No follow-up contact, no replacement...

I pulled the trigger but I should’ve order 6ft instead of 3ft

You will end up throwing these in a drawer and buying Decent T-R-S cables. Been there done that. If you care enough about sound to have something that takes a 1/4” jack, then buy balanced and...

3ft is perfect from pedal board to amp when playing at home
Post #134454842 added 01-22-2020 1:57 PM by gluttonne in Deal Talk
For longer cables, I think a bit thicker would be better, and I'm not sure I'd want to use these for, say, speaker cabinets, but I can't find any evidence that for short runs at guitar/pedal levels...

There are almost no standard instruments or pedals that support a balanced signal. TRS cables have lots of uses in the studio or potentially some live stereo applications but most pedals, guitars,...

For big awkward pedals like multi fx pedals or spring reverb boxes (or just connecting multiple pedal boards) 3ft is perfect. If you've only got a 1ft cable connecting it to the next device you end...

The only use I can think of is to go from the pedal board to the amp, in which case you wouldn't need 5 of them.

What would you use a 3-ft cable for? Straight recording I guess? I ask as I will need cable in the future, but was thinking you'd need longer lengths, surely?

They can be useful if you're daisy chaining pedals that are too awkward or bulky to go in a pedal board.

I don’t know if it’s standard for guitar cables, but 24 AWG is pretty thin wire.

Yup. I have some shorter (1’) cables that I got for connecting various synths together and to mixer, but they are not quite long enough to always connect the way I’d like. I have to use some longer...

For the vast majority of guitars, TRS will make no difference. Pedals likewise. If you have balanced or stereo 1/4" signals, they should absolutely be used - but I think the only time I've used TRS...

TS should be fine for a 3 foot cable.

I would imagine that for an instrument or pedal board, you would want TRS (Balanced) rather than these TS (unbalanced) cables, but it will depend on your equipment. 3ft/1m is kind of a weird...

Best use is for rack mounted outboard gear. Main L/R send out of your console into stereo Reverb into Stereo EQ, Into compressor back through a return. That is the primary function of a 3ft TS...

If your setup is limited to right in front of you, then sure. If you've got different combos across the stage or around you, then no.
