SuperManRob, you are spot on, I'm going through the madness right now, trying to replace a vintage Sony rack system 1990's era tower, the SS-U501, I'm looking for a neutral, some might call it boring...

Well actually I’m not arguing I’m just pointing out the facts. If you disagree please point to all my “etc, etc, etc” you think I’m wrong? If not I’m good also and you have a great night!

OK if you just want to argue, never mind. I'm not "playing around", I already said my opinion is just my opinion, so just let it go at that. Have a good night.

Well now you are playing around with words because I didn't say you said "eliminate listening fatigue" I said "will eliminate or at the least reduce "listening fatigue" which is quite different. ...

I didn't say they "eliminate listening fatigue", I said they ameliorate it. But either way the "oh there that's better" bit is pretty much EXACTLY what many are saying about the current RP models...

I completely agree with you on the lack of ability to audition speakers like the good ol days. Around here we are left with BB/Magnolia and Fry’s Electronics and back in the hay day, they were the...

Supermanrob is quite right, but perhaps understates the difference between the 703's and this or any Klipsch speaker... they are VASTLY different. For good or for ill Klipsch are "bright" and that...

I'm operating under the assumption that for the most part people buying speakers these days are doing so on the basis of recommendations and reviews, not personal experience with the speakers in...

Fair enough assumption but assuming someone heard both and said the difference is minute, why would spend another $180 for that, which would not be far fetched. What then?

Chances are that the buyer of either the RP or the F series haven't and won't hear the other. Not sure if they're sold together in many or any of the relatively few places that still let you demo...

It might be they don’t hear a $180 difference so why would they in that case.

I can't imagine why anyone who can swing $500 on a pair of speakers wouldn't stretch to $680 and buy the Reference Premier series.... a discontinued model but formerly top of the line in the RP...
