Just picked up the game from game stop and guess what!? It doesn’t work! It says invalid disc and there is one big scratch on it that I can see. I will have to take it back tomorrow. What a joke.

You could still make your own levels, you just wouldn't be able to play levels that other people made on their own. It would still be a "maker" - and you could probably still save your own designs...

It's an expansion. Generally, it contains this one, plus addition elements to build levels with, and a different online network. The old one's community felt less grief-y, to be honest.
