IMHO, the next big thing is going to be ULED. Using a monochrome panel behind the main panel, you can darken out the picture with much greater precision then local dimming. It's really a neat...

I purchased one of the 86" model this last holiday. While its true about the halo's around black it only really happens when viewing HDR content. HDR brings up the brightness to supernova levels...

indeed thoroughly enjoying my 86" too. out of the box settings are TERRIBLE tho lol..gotta tweek the settings to get the best picture.

I watch superbowl on projection. 120 inch is just the starting point of size. using regular screen or wall and some paint mix at the local stores (AZ paint formula...see forums...its wonderful)...

I like my 950 but the lack of easily accessible setting of the sleep time is freaking ridiculous. It makes me almost want to return it. I should not have to go through 4 or 5 steps to set sleep

I put up some wallpapers on a similar LG panel at Best Buy. You couldn't see the tread on a supercar's tire, it was just solid black (or it's version of black at least). A night view of an apartment...
