Got mine from microcenter for 129 before black Friday. It was the best price of the holiday season. Don't believe the hype this cpu is beast. I run it with a gtx1080 144 hz on 1080p in most games....

Gotta say if you're on the fence about this, then you have some super high expectations. This is a great all around processor. 3600 if you're gaming but either will more than suit your purpose(s).

I have the R5-2600 with a Radeon 590 and have run into no problems with Freesync 144hz and ultimate on any game I’ve ran on it. I would assume the 2700x would be awesomesauce!

This is not really a "great" deal for a 2700x, especially if the gaming stuff has no value to you... but it's kind of a "normal" deal. For your application, the extra cores of the 2700x will be more...

3600 is worth the $15 extra, easy. I wouldn't say this is a good deal.. This was $136 (after Prime card promo) for a while last month.

That and as much RAM as you can get. 32GB is pretty cheap at around $110-120. And a good-sized SSD for loading samples and such.

Read the bundle carefully. The 2700x is choice of 1 game. If you buy from Amazon they won't give you the codes and give all kinds of lame excuses and blame AMD.
