I bought a pair last week at $200/ea (better than $250, and I needed some work-from-home screens). Good at $200, would have been a great deal IMO at $180... ... except that DisplayPort just...

Dead?
Post #134695412 added 02-02-2020 1:16 PM by dimjim in Deal Talk
Build quality seems pretty good, panels aren't super heavy, since they're LED backlit (good IMO for VESA mounting). As others have mentioned, menu's and buttons are not the easiest to navigate, but...
Same here. Can’t say I’m disappointed at all. Especially for the price. I was waiting forever to find a reason to upgrade my 2011 27” Dell to an ultrawide. But I also like the 16:9 ratio still. This...

After just a week, my monitor has stopped displaying video signal. I’ve done some testing and It is 100% a hardware problem. I guess I’ll try another one, but it doesn’t instill confidence in the...

I was wondering the same. Turns out there is a little plastic cover right where the base arm attachs to the monitor. It is held in place using plastic clips. You will see two small slots on the...

You can run the monitor at 75 Hz if you want to. I doubt it will do any more than that.

My mistake. Yes it does tilt up but at least on mine it seems to have no downward tilt at all. I had not even tried the upward tilt as don't need it and hence assumed it doesn't tilt.

Tough to settle on this one when yesterday there was the 32" 1440p 144hz Curved LED freesync Acer for $180

Just received mine but it will be going back. It has pretty bad back-light bleeding in the bottom left corner and the color is very red even when set to neutral.
Post #134655143 added 01-31-2020 12:01 PM by PhantomAura in Deal Talk
Yes, HDMI supports the full 1440p resolution.

For what you get at that price, this is very enticing

Got this in December at the same price. It is a decent monitor. Colors out of the box were not that great, but was able to adjust them to my liking with some trial and error adjustments. I also...

Except the gift card is a physical gift card which can take a day or 2 to get to you - no guarantee the monitor will still be available by then at this price.

Ordered for store pick up and picked up today. Just got it set up. It didn't come with DisplayPort cable but did come with an HDMI. Luckily, I had an extra DP cable since my HDMI port is wonky. It'd...

The HP is only 60hz refresh and does not support freesync. It may or may not be a huge difference for some people. The VESA mounting design on the HP is poorly designed and very flimsy according to...

This monitor worth the $20 savings compared to the Lenovo from Costco for $200? https://www.costco.com/acer-32%22-class-wqhd-ips-freesync-monitor.product.100511548.html
Post #134793242 added 02-07-2020 5:12 AM by houston99 in Deal Talk
I was pondering on the exact same question. The Costco Acer product has a monster stand . Gotta make sure you have the desk space to support it.

Stand does tilt up/down(-5° / 22°), but that's about it. Edit: Specs from Lenovo

Build quality is pretty good and it's very bright at the default settings. It also uses a standard power cable so no external brick on the power cord. I didn't like the menu buttons on the monitor...

I’m really hoping it was just a fluke thing. I like the monitor enough to give it a second chance.
I instantly shutdown the cashier’s pitch for the extended warranty. Now that option isn’t looking so bad. 😂

Wow. Unsettling to hear.
How’s the build quality? This will be upgrading from my Dell u2711. Which is built like a tank. Heavy too. Had that sucker for years but it seems like a bulb is burning out. Isn’t as bright as it...

Bought the Lenovo 31.5" last time it was on sale a month or so ago for my kid's desk. Am completely happy with the purchase. Is it the perfect monitor? No, but it's a nice IPS 75Hz for the price....
