After spot-checking a handful of them, I believe Amazon is price matching Adorama (or all authorized Nikon dealers are running the same pricing). The difference is Adorama might be pairing theirs...

Good idea, but where do you usually buy the used ones from? After months of watching Craigslist, I never found a good deal on lenses there, at least in my city.

Well there is a difference between wanting a nice picture and making things look distorted. You can do that with any lens if you have the proper separation of subject and background.

Would it be worthwhile to purchase the 35mm 1.8 and get a lens converter (not the manual one) for a Sony E mount? Are the substantial drawbacks to this? I have seen the lens converters for less than...

Hmm, contemplating the 10-20mm for a family trip to Yellowstone this year. Anyone use this WA lens for family trips to national parks? Currently using a D7500 with an 18-140 and wondering if I'll...

Wide angles are great for making things seem more grand. You have to get creative to show scale. Kenrockwell.com has a good article about it

Are you going to Teton NP also? What time of year? Yellowstone is not the place for landscape shots - everything is yellow or snowy in late spring and summer, it doesn't get pretty until fall. Also...

No, the cheapest AF adapter is the commlite for $200 unless you want MF. AF is spotty and len’s compatibility is hit or miss. Not really worth the trouble when native Sony/Sigma/Tamron/Samyang...

I bought mine off ebay. My 50mm 1.8G was "new open box" and I paid $140. The 1.8D is closer to $90-100 for mint condition. Good review of both on Ken Rockwell's site.

Why Nikon lenses are so expensive? I would suggest people to check Tamron and sigma art series. They are cheaper , better, and sharper than native glasses. Excellent value for money.

For crop bodies like my D7500 there are some great reasonably priced Nikon lenses (35, 50mm, 70-300 AFP VR are all cheap and excellent). The Nikon full frame lens prices are ridiculous and the reason...

Just starting using it to sell a camera and you get barraged by interested buyers, it's kind of crazy. Most of them don't follow up of course.

After seeing F vs Z lens comparison (Ricci Talks), I am shocked. F lenses are that much worse lol Though price is 2/3 to half of Z lenses. Which is a 'deal'

I don't think there is a ton of value to that... the Nikon lens isn't some special 35mm. I'd stick with native glass unless there is some special lens you want.

I'm interested in the 50mm 1.8 lens, but looks like it comes up at a lower price on past recent deals. Think I'll wait for a better deal.

I got a 12-24 lens thinking wide angle is all about landscape photography and honestly it isn't. You don't need it for that. Also it is almost like a prime with such a small zoom range. I found...

I would have gotten this lens if I didn't already have the 105 F2.8. They were too close to justify it, but I wanted the macro of the 105.

I've purchased a lot of stuff from Adorama since they never added sales tax to Minnesota. Just had a lens in my cart, and noticed they're now adding tax to MN. Ugh.
