not sure what i'm doing wrong but i see the $20 offer at payment selection, then after i select one of my amex cards it doesn't give me an option to use any points, and thus the $20 is gone as well....

How the F would I know? Amex only have 50 different million cards. Capital 1, Chase Discover etc, have cash back plus rewards in 1 damn card! Only Amex separates cash back and rewards into 2...

You have $17 in cashback...not in points. Two different things. You can have $17 worth of points on a Everyday card but you cannot have $17 worth of points on the Blue Cash card.
