Well, while that's good information, Flexvolt batteries are still the way to go if you have (or plan on having in the next many years) any 60v Flexvolt tools

The 2ah 60v 6ah 20v flex volt uses 18650 cells, same as the older batteries. These have the newer cells so wider but shorter as this has 2 rows the flex volt has 3.

I have read that 20 VOLT DeWalt batteries are usable (after some modification with a Dremel) on a Black & Decker 20 Volt tool... Can anyone shed some light on what mods are needed, and how to do...

Lowe's let me price match since it was sold directly by Amazon. I also had like $80 in gift cards so this was a really good deal for me. Thanks OP!

Yes the 20700 and 21700 are higher capacity cells. They will actually run the tool motors with more power at a higher RPM. The newer compact 3ah batteries have those cells also.

I'd rather go with a Flexvolt battery for anything 6.0 and up. Not just for having the 60V option, but it will run cooler under load on demanding tools, like a grinder for example.

Decent price, but I'd pay a bit more for Flexvolt batteries if you have or plan on owning and Flexvolt tools in the next few years. The 2ah 60v is backwards compatible to 6ah 20v
