Accurate. I've owned both. The cheaper ones I have aren't that much different in terms of feel; they're a little less soft, but it's hard to tell without side-by-side comparison. Not sure how durable...

Fewer layers of fabric over crotch = better breathability. Fewer seams = better comfort. No hole = better support and durability. Plus they look cleaner. The only flys I like are horizontal ones...

What is modal and why do you want it? is it like Spandex? I would think more cotton is better for breathability. I like stretch boxers but not so much that it feels itchy and doesn't breathe.
