GV charges $20 to port your number into GV now. One month Tello minimum plan is much cheaper than $20. But I don't know how long you have to be away from Mint to go back to qualify as a new customer....

their page says no, you must port at time of activation Unfortunately, once a plan is activated we can’t transfer your number to your current Mint account. So make sure you do it at activation.
