Crappy panel and viewing angles, fake HDR, crappy color range. LG is a weird dichotomy - they have their world class OLED sets, and then lots of other crappy sets. according to Rtings, this...

Why is this downvoted? The description says IPS, but the panel actually is VA. And that's causing poor viewing angles.

I would say no. I'm not too worried about the OS since I have a Roku 4k anyway. Some people are rather picky about it tho.

Its all relative to what you are used to, what distance you're standing from the set, and also if its at eye level or not. I'm used to a 100" projection screen, so even a 82" seems relatively...

Rtings review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/um8070 Bad things: poor viewing angles, not so good at HDR, no wide color gamut. Still, that's an insane price for an 82" TV.

VA has high contrast ratio compared to IPS. A TV this big should normally be placed in a media room type setting, where viewing angles should not matter.
