I refuse to use anything Miracle Gro. But peat moss is actually awful for the environment if you care about that type of thing. Go to your local garden center and get some decent potting mix. Plus...

We just usually go with the Kellogg's bags. They are larger and organic. And they've worked great so far.

Cactus and succulents will grow in just about anything and you're not eating them. Just scrape up a bag of dirt on the side of the road.

For comparison, this organic succulent mix is (.75/qt). Home Depot has Miracle Gro cactus mix normally at $5 for 8 qts (0.63/qt). Dr. Earth brand organic succulent and cactus mix is $28 for 25 qts,...

Just grabbed a sack of this nastiness for some cacti mix seeds from rareseeds, thought I'd share the deal. All time low per CCC and Keepa. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006MY5KJO

Actually I'm a cactus lover. Historically I've used Miracle-Gro for my potted cacti, but am hoping for good results with this potting soil as well. I bought one. :)

I guess this is the definition of "dirt cheap." Still, I find it difficult to believe that Amazon can make money selling dirt. It's heavy.

The recent reviews on this aren't great. The 8 qt bag of miracle gro brand cactus potting soil is only $5. So twice as much for less than twice the price of this 2qt bag at $3.

A peat based mix is not what you want for cacti. My varied collection of over 200 grow in entirely inorganic media, mostly straight pumice.

Amazon doesn't need to make money on the products it sells. Yay corrupt capitalism! Also it's not dirt, it's potting mix/soil. Dirt has living matter, bacteria and such. It's a very small bag of...

This is ridiculous unless you need this tiny amount of dirt. Do people really buy dirt on amazon? Go to your local HD/Lowes store and buy it for cheaper.

This isn't a good deal in comparison to what you're getting and other products available. If you need organic for something like dragon fruit, maybe.
