FYI, I was at Costco yesterday and found they now sell AGM batteries (Interstate brand). H6 was $169 and flooded was $115 IIRC. I didn't get the price on any other ones though.

I think the opposite is true. AGM has it's advantages but longevity isn't one of them. A wet cell, properly maintained, will outlast AGM by a fair margin.
