agreed. If you're concerned about too much suction, I had a coworker cut a square hole in one of his adapters​ and then cut a sliver of a pvc pipe (of a diameter that would fit over that adapter)...

My store had a whole row of about 10 on the top shelf along with another 4 on the endcaps. Ad pricing on the endcaps stated 49.99 so maybe that's what is keeping non-slickdealers from grabbing them....

I had a shop vac brand that you let you connect the hose on one side for vacuum and the other side for blower. It doesn't matter all that much since i have an air compressor but would have been nice
