Why are you comparing to a 15.6''? The Flex 14 inch has the i5 and this hp laptop is an i7 with a 13.3' screen.

You will probably loose 2 hours with moderate usage. For heavy usage with high brightness, it may be more.

Catch is the Ram 8GB if y want to pay $855. Since the Ram is soldered, you should pay $931 in order to have 16gb ram for peace of mind.

Top end speed is not what you need to consider with laptops. They will/may throttle down as the heat rises, so at 15 TDP (laptop) vs. 65+ TDP (desktop), you sacrifice sustained load for portability.

What do you want? You want small and light weight or a regular 15" notebook? No. Same processor but running at slower speed by design to increase battery life.
