Home Depot and 48 hours shows how little they support what they sell. Would not give them a $ of my money on an appliance purchase.

So far I've been hoping the prices will come back down to a more sane point with tariffs on their way out (?). But with COVID-19 spinning up, maybe not?

Whirlpool makes their washers and dryers in the US - and with mostly domestic parts. https://allamericanreviews.com/whirlpool/

Another thing to consider, is Home Depot's Zero return policy on major appliances. Your only available options are to refuse delivery, or call them within 48 hours, if you find it to be damaged or...

Front load washers build up mold, then you have to leave it open every wash. If you have a top and bottom kit you’ll still break your back. In the end...our backs will break regardless

Get top loaders and thank me later

This or the Costco LG deal? Are there other good models out there with that water spout built in? Is 4.8cuft on low end for top loader? Can do comforters ok?

Are you really old or is this hyperbole or what? Back breaking, or hurting, is a result of lifting heavy things, not just bending over for a second.

Anyone who still has access to the Whirlpool InsidePass, how does this compare to those prices? My pass expired . . . and so did my dryer.

I thought it was the other way around. You have to bend over (or squat, maybe) to reach into the front of a front loader when there is clothing in the back. With my top loader, I don't have to...

Hey guys I understand mold issues with front loaders and “save your back” comments, but is a top loader clean enough? There’s always differing reports that front load washers use less water (facts)...

Save $20 more by getting the white. Normally 899, I pulled the trigger because my washer was on it's last legs and everyone I know who has a front loader doesn't really care for it.

Agreed. I have a top load without an agitator and it's absolutely garbage. The soap NEVER gets distributed correctly. We have to rewash about 1/2 the time because of residue left behind. My unit is 2...

You are right on about the agitator... those have all but vanished. Our new set (top load!) doesn't have one and between that and the "water saving" features, it doesn't clean nearly as well as our...

I've put Speed Queen front loaders in a couple of friends homes with big families. Yep, the size is "smaller," but it has no problem being stuffed full. You also won't get the mildew/mold that many...

The new speed queens use a inferior belt driven wash. Its proven to be trash compared to the older line. Some say they downgraded cause its the same motor used in their stackable washer+dryer set.

Before I found the SQ machine, I was going to get an LG front loader. I had two Maytag top loaders that I got from Lowes that weren't worth a flip. Had Lowes pick them up. Didn't use any water,...

Just want to throw in my 2 cents regarding top load vs front load washers. Our front load washer cleaned heavily soiled clothes better than the top load washer it replaced. But the front load does...

We've had to replace the drain motor once in 15 years, which was cheap and easy to do myself. Pretty happy with our front loader.

Push the pause button, wait for the door to unlock, remove/add what you need, continue. At least that is how my front loader works (LG) and my parents (Whirlpool) and my in-laws (Samsung).

I edited my previous post with the size given on their website. Also I do not own one because of how small they are. I don't think you can fit a King comforter in such a small washer.

If Speed Queen made larger capacity I think more people would pony up the dough. That was the reason I didn't go with one. 3.5 is just so small.

Very good deal, but not as good as the 4.7 Maytag one also from HD last month. Also, max spin speed is 850 RPM, kind of low.
