seems identical to the HF one. HF can be had for much cheaper with the 20% coupon. For reference, brad nails are roughly $3-$5 for a couple thousand depending on size.

There's a depth adjustment on the nose of the gun, start there. If that doesn't help then turn down the air pressure. These things aren't ready to go out of the box because there's too many variables...

You're using the wrong tool for the job. You need a finish nailer, not a brad nailer.
