For those quieter places I just use some TWS earbuds. I bought the QC25 purely for flights, where the wired connection wouldn't really matter because I would rarely be moving around anyway.

bad argument because lithium rechargeable battery hold charge for a long time too. and, yes they can be replaced after many years. AAA can corrode and leak acid inside destroying the headphones.

Not necessarily, with the wireless dongle the piece is flush with the headphones themselves. The only wires that would be involved would be for charging the wireless dongle and that would be hours...
