The best thing to do is compare in a light controlled environment, like Best Buy's Magnolia setup. The lights in most big box stores are horrible for comparing TVs.

That's my scenario as well. People don't realize the pro's and strengths of certain technologies. Currently using a Samsung VA monitor (CRG9) and totally would prefer an IPS version.

Man. So hard to resist this price. Was a FP deal at 1399, now 1249. It really was not as bright and crisp as other TVs in store, but it won't be sitting next to other TVs in my living room....

FYI - No Wide Color Gamut, so no ‘real’ HDR. No local dimming, possible blooming issues. Still not bad for the price.
